“Move Along” by JJ Adams

The original art is my favourite part of my collecting, i think. I stumbled across this original by JJ Adams idly searching for Star Wars Art. In this fun image, you can see a heavily graffitied Millennium Falcon parked outside of the Mos Eisley Science Fiction convention. Our heroes are queuing in front to get in with a plethora of SF robots behind them.

The hand embellished mixed media original is an impressive 1.5m by 1m and is signed by the artist. It’s on eBay now for £12, 995. There are also limited edition prints of 100 with 10 artist proofs available, too. These are priced between £540 and £995.

JJ is clearly a Science Fiction fan, as his work often uses multiple inspirations across the genre and utilises a lot of urban art, such as graffiti, or heavily tattooed heroes and heroines. It’s a nice, contrasting style and I especially like his work of Princess Leia with the sleeve.

JJ Adams is UK artist born in South Africa. His work has been featured in magazines such as Vogue and GQ and he has worked in conjunction with companies such as Rolls Royce and Bang and Olufsen. Quite impressive.

About mffanrodders

A long time Science Fiction fan and Star Wars collector, my collection focus has taken a turn towards Han Solo's iconic Star Ship and I thought that i'd start this blog to keep track of my collection of Millennium Falcon related stuff as i progress.
