Millennium Falcon From Royal Selangor

At a collecting panel in this years Star Wars Celebration event, they showed a new Millennium Falcon collectible from Royal Selangor. Looking at their Facebook page, it looks like they are releasing a limited edition gold plated pewter model.

It’ not a great photo, but the detailing looks pretty good, Andy I am pleased that they went with the Original Trilogy version. There’ something off about the cockpit at this angle, though.

A better photo shows the detail quite nicely and i’m glad to see that my initial concerns about the cockpit are unfounded.

The size of this will be 16cms wide, by 6cms tall and 23cms long, So a little larger in size thanthe Franklin Mint Falcon) and has a price tag of £799. It also comes with a pewter stand for displaying. It’s not cheap, but not unexpected. This model will be limited to an edition size of  200 pieces. I definitely want this model, but I don’t think that I can justify that expense. I’m not sure I’ll be able to resist, though. 🙂

More information to be released later. It’s due for release on May the Fourth where it gos up for order at Midnight. You can subscribe to their mailing list, here.

I have seen some mention of a plain pewter version.

About mffanrodders

A keen Star Wars collector since 1977, my collection focus seems to have taken on a turn towards Han Solo's iconic Star Ship. Why the Millennium Falcon? No one else seemed to have one at the time and it was fair to say that i had difficulty resisting the higher end models. My friend, icruise from Rebelscum has a superb blog for his Jabba the Hutt collection, I thought that i'd start this blog to chart my own collection of Millennium Falcon related stuff as it increases. Well, that was the plan but it now seems to be more about cataloguing any Millennium Falcon item in general now so that i can come back to them later.
