Aluminium Millennium Falcon from Japan

TakaraTomy in collaboration with Iriso Seimitsu, (a specialist in precision metal machining), is going to release a very limited edition of an ultra-detailed aluminium Millenium Falcon Tomica. At only 76mm long, 56mm wide and height of 15mm, this tiny reproduction is very accurate.tomalu-fm01The new sensor dish that appears in The Force Awakens movie is faithfully reproduced, as well as the gun turret.

tomalu-fm02tomalu-fm03A nice storage box and an aluminium base will be included.

This Alumi kezuri dashi Tomica will be made to order only. Preorders will close on 22/12/15 and delivery is expected in April 2016. It looks nice, but with a retail price  set at 216 000 JPY (around $1,800), i can’t see this item catching on.

About mffanrodders

A keen Star Wars collector since 1977, my collection focus seems to have taken on a turn towards Han Solo's iconic Star Ship. Why the Millennium Falcon? No one else seemed to have one at the time and it was fair to say that i had difficulty resisting the higher end models. My friend, icruise from Rebelscum has a superb blog for his Jabba the Hutt collection, I thought that i'd start this blog to chart my own collection of Millennium Falcon related stuff as it increases. Well, that was the plan but it now seems to be more about cataloguing any Millennium Falcon item in general now so that i can come back to them later.

    Hi Rod,
It’s good to see that you’re still updating the site with all the new falcon related merchandise. I recently saw a quadcopter of a Millenium Falcon and an X-wing, did you see those? Also, check out how awesome these quadcopter races look, it feels like return of the jedi – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsxyV-kgfio
Did you see the message I left to you on the ‘About me’ page? If not, can you please check it out and if you could reply there or to my email that would be awesome, even if you’ve changed your mind about selling them please let me know.
    Many thanks
