“Tech Plates” from Acme Archives

Some time ago i bought the Millennium Falcon Spec Plate from Acme Archives. It’s a truly impressive piece, but at $1500 (it was on sale), it’s an expensive collectible and for that kind of money, you’d expect a little exclusivity. Newmennium has just posted about Acme at the Disney weekends and their new line of “Tech Plates”. They’re going to be limited to an edition size of 295 pieces and will be priced at $295 each.

At about 10″ by 18″, their smaller than their cousin. Overall, i really like them and I’m pretty certain that i’ll be picking one up, but i think that i would have liked some of the details on the Millennium Falcon plate to differ from the specplate. Perhaps top and bottom blueprints and details on the belly cannon. The ramp’s a nice new addition, though. They also had TechPlates for the X-Wing and Luke’s Landspeeder.

Thanks to Newmennium for the heads up and the photos.

These are up on Acme’s web site now. They come ready to hang and don’t need framing.

About mffanrodders

A keen Star Wars collector since 1977, my collection focus seems to have taken on a turn towards Han Solo's iconic Star Ship. Why the Millennium Falcon? No one else seemed to have one at the time and it was fair to say that i had difficulty resisting the higher end models. My friend, icruise from Rebelscum has a superb blog for his Jabba the Hutt collection, I thought that i'd start this blog to chart my own collection of Millennium Falcon related stuff as it increases. Well, that was the plan but it now seems to be more about cataloguing any Millennium Falcon item in general now so that i can come back to them later.
