Darren Hayes “Millennium Falcon Black”

Darren Hayes is a UK artist who specialises in acrylics. He’s released a limited edition Millennium Falcon Black (edition size of 100 pieces at £125 each) and the White (Edition size of 10 pieces at £150 each). I’ll bet shipping would be pretty high as they look heavy in those frames.

Beautifully framed, I have to say that i do think that these look good and i like them a lot. However, i don’t know if i want to spend £125 on one. Of the two, i prefer the black one as the acrylic looks like glass.

It looks like the Kotokubuya mold was used to make these.

About mffanrodders

A keen Star Wars collector since 1977, my collection focus seems to have taken on a turn towards Han Solo's iconic Star Ship. Why the Millennium Falcon? No one else seemed to have one at the time and it was fair to say that i had difficulty resisting the higher end models. My friend, icruise from Rebelscum has a superb blog for his Jabba the Hutt collection, I thought that i'd start this blog to chart my own collection of Millennium Falcon related stuff as it increases. Well, that was the plan but it now seems to be more about cataloguing any Millennium Falcon item in general now so that i can come back to them later.

Somehow it seems wrong to piggyback the art off a Kotobukiya mold. I would say ‘pass.’
