Millennium Falcon Flight Simulator by Kenner

I stumbled on this picture today for a Power of the Force Millennium Falcon flight simulator. Quite cool.

However, looking through the interwebs i couldn’t find anything about it at all, only an X-Wing Flight simulator. Even Rebelscum didn’t appear to have any information on it. I was able to find this video. (Click on “Unproduced Star Wars Millennium Falcon”.)

Does anyone know anything about this toy? I shall have to look through Gus and Duncan’s Guide to Prototypes book to see if this was a prototype or shelved product. Shame, this would be great next to my R/C Falcons. 😦

Edit; There’s an auction on ebay for one of these shipping out from Hong Kong. The seller posted a few photos and was kind enough to allow me to post them on my blog.

About mffanrodders

A keen Star Wars collector since 1977, my collection focus seems to have taken on a turn towards Han Solo's iconic Star Ship. Why the Millennium Falcon? No one else seemed to have one at the time and it was fair to say that i had difficulty resisting the higher end models. My friend, icruise from Rebelscum has a superb blog for his Jabba the Hutt collection, I thought that i'd start this blog to chart my own collection of Millennium Falcon related stuff as it increases. Well, that was the plan but it now seems to be more about cataloguing any Millennium Falcon item in general now so that i can come back to them later.

The Star Wars Collector’s Bible lists it as “cancelled.”

Hey Rod, picked up more info on this item. Just bought one of these on ebay. Haven’t received it yet but did some grueling research online and made some connections. Waiting for responses from the creators and license holders of the toy itself. The website is: http://www.newfuntiers.com/bstarelb.html
So apparently it is licensed by Newfuntiers to Hasbro, Inc. I am eagerly awaiting every last drop of info they can dump in my lap as to whether this reached shelves or limited run to few vendors. I’m waiting to receive the item before asking too many questions from the seller. I just want to make sure this is the real thing and that an x-wing doesnt show up instead (the more common and easy to find of the two made). This seems to be extremely rare so I dont want seller to think too deep into it before shipping it out. Gus sent me pictures of the catalog page it was featured in but bottom of pic says item number: 27869 and at bottom of item write up says: AVAIALBLE THROUGH LC PROGRAM. I have no idea what LC program is or was. So stayed tuned, until then I will send all the pics I have from both the seller and from Gus and together we can end this conflict and bring order to the galaxy!

Yeah, I just lost out on an EBay bid myself. I guess we were both thinking the same thing. 🙂

A nice item I thought, but I can see that it has a very limited play appeal so I can kinda see why it was pulled.

Agreed, I laughed when I saw what it does. I was thinking ‘Thats it?,…..AND?…….’ but it is appealing to us of course. Were you bidding on this same item? I feel terrible now if you were. I should probably know your ebay id first and last initals so I can see if you have already bid on an item. It seems this could happen since we are searching for similar items. I bet we bid against each other at least once in the past before we met Lol. I dont want to dog you out of anything.

Don’t be silly, Jack. I think it’s great that you got it.
