I appreciate that it’s a little late but on March 03rd 2012 Ralph McQuarrie passed away from Parkinsons disease at the age of 82. Ralph did a lot of the visualisation for not only Star Wars but other films and shows such as Battlestar Galactica, Indiana Jones and ET. Ralph’s vision encapsuates Star Wars like noone else. RIP Ralph, you will be sorely missed. I thought that i’d post his Millennium Falcon related work here.

I have a rather nice book on the Art of Ralph McQuarrie at home. It’s a very nice addition to my library if a little expensive. You can order a copy from Dreams and Visions press here.
His work was so good. It’s such a tragedy that he passed.
